I purchased the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate 1 mo. for my grandson on my iPhone. My email address is not linked to his Xbox. I went through what I thought were the correct steps to get a code. I was thinking a code would be given to be entered into the Xbox. Upon entering the code in the Xbox, he received the message that the code was already redeemed. I had managed to redeem the code to my Microsoft account. As my grandson wanted to play today, we went to BB and purchased a Game Pass Ultimate scratch off card. Upon entering the code, I had to enter in my credit card information for billing purposes and start a Game Pass Ultimate subscription. After this was accomplished, I canceled the subscription and my grandson was able to game. From what I have now read, it would seem that I might be able to link my Microsoft account to the Xbox, but I would guess the 2 Game Passes would run concurrently. I had no luck trying to navigate Xbox support. Caveat Emptor!
